On July 13^th, Liu Jisen, Executive President of Institute for African Studies (IAS), and Liang Lijun, senior researcher of IAS, attended the Seventh Representative Meeting of Institute of West-Asian and African Studies and Symposium on Asian and African Situation at Beijing Foreign Studies University. At the conference, representatives from Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China reported on "African situations and China-Africa relationship"; the working report of the sixth council was reviewed; the seventh council was elected; and a symposium was held which took African situation and China's diplomacy as its topic. Liu Jisen was elected as a member of the seventh council of Institute of West-Asian and African Studies.
