Tanzania Investment Environment Introduction Meeting Held in Guangzhou

On October 10th, Tanzania Investment Environment Introduction Meeting was held in International Academic Exchange Center, GDUFS. It was co-hosted by ECO GD and IAS, GDUFS, and co-organized by Guangzhou Baiyun District High-tech Enterprise Association, Guangzhou Yuexiu District Auto Accessories Industry Chamber of Commerce, and Top Africa Co., Ltd. Dr. Zeng Yuran, Executive Director of Marketing Research Center of IAS, GDUFS, hosted the meeting. Mr. Mbelwa Kairuki, Tanzanian Ambassador to China, attended the meeting and gave an introduction of the investment environment in Tanzania.

In the opening speech, Shi Zhongbo, Chairman of ECO GD, reviewed China-Africa friendship, analyzed new opportunities and challenges of China-Africa cooperation in the new era, and encouraged enterprises to promote their business in Africa by means of E-commerce platforms.

Prof. Liu Jisen delivered a speech whose topic was "Rise of Africa: Investment Opportunities and Risks". In his speech, Prof. Liu Jisen made a introduction to Africa, elaborated reasons for investing in Africa, and offered advice on African investment.

Mr. John Shared Ideas

Mr. John, Chairman of Tanzania Chamber of Commerce in Guangdong, offered suggestions on enterprises' investment in Africa. Five factors had to be taken into consideration, namely language proficiency, cooperation with chamber of commerce, field trip, cooperation with think tanks and talent cultivation.

Guan Zhufan's Introduction to Businesses of TOP AFRICA

 

Guan Zhufan, Vice President of TOP AFRICA, introduced four businesses of TOP AFRICA, namely African news, business field trip, feasibility analysis as well as talent cultivation and distribution. Guan Zhufan also made a introduction of the progressive business field trip.

In Q&A section, entrepreneurs raised lots of questions which mainly focused on infrastructure, taxation, labor costs, hydropower cost, foreign exchange control, law and order, company registration, logistics, etc. Ambassador Kairuki answered their questions one by one.

The meeting lasted for 3.5 hours. All attendees actively participated in the meeting and hoped that such event could be held more frequently.
