“The Belt and Road” Talents of Chinese Medicine Collaborative Training Center

The center was established in accordance with the Belt and Road Initiative. The objectives of the center include promoting the long lasting history and culture of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), introducing specific TCM theories, techniques and methods, and offering alternative medical solutions with Chinese wisdom, to the people in the countries along the Belt and the Road. Such objectives require the center to cultivate talents of Chinese medicine that fit in the new era. Besides being able to wield the power of TCM, these talents also need to respect local traditional medical theories and treatment, and understand the environment, the way of living, the language and culture in different nations, so as to promote TCM to nations along the Belt and the Road. Therefore, a synergy for talents cultivation is necessary.

The center will collaborate with TCM universities and colleges, TCM hospitals and clinics, renowned TCM practitioners, Confucius Institutes, diplomatic departments, associations, enterprises and chambers of commerce at home and abroad; together we will discover new models and methods for cultivating TCM talents, uphold the implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative, and contribute more to the improvement of the quality of life for people along the Belt and the Road.
